God has a yes or not question for you. At some point in your life, God is going to ask you to say yes to him. We call that “carrying your own cross.” Will you say “yes” to God?
If you say “no” to God, it could have dire consequences. Some people say “no” to God because of financial considerations. They love security more than they love Jesus. Other people say “no” to God because of praise. They love the praise of people more than they love the approval of God. It is important to learn how to say “no” to yourself and “yes” to God.
When you say “yes” to God, think of it as an investment. Think of it as a willingness to give some time and some treasure for the sake of a life with God.
In our sermon this Sunday, we will talk about how to carry out own cross.
